The Label Representative, under the direction of the General Manager will be responsible for coordination and data entry supporting various release set-up tasks, communicating label activity and plans to key stakeholders, coordination and implementation of digital marketing and account campaigns. 

This position will handle various research and administration duties, as well as digital marketing responsibilities including advertising, DSP marketing, content and social media strategy.

A strong understanding of the R&B and Hip-Hop genres is an absolute must.

Label Representative Responsibilities:

· Work as a key part of the label’s team (wear many hats)

· Assist senior A&R with research, administration, and contribute to creative discussions

· Build and maintain relationships with artists, managers, agents, studios, other music industry representatives

· Coordinate elements of a marketing plan, including digital advertising, content and digital marketing strategy, brand partnerships, and DSP marketing

· Coordinate release set-up information, data collection and entry

· As requested, work with artist teams and larger label team to develop artist strategy and relevant timelines

· Research and discover new platforms to promote artists and label

· Contribute as required to any government grants applications including OMF, FACTOR, and Radio Starmaker

· Keep up-to-date on current marketing trends

 Job Requirements:

· Two years of related experience in a music based company or related industry experience.

· Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· A high level of work ethic, professionalism and integrity.

· Passionate and knowledgeable about the R&B & Hip-Hop music genres and driven to play a role in the development of artist careers.

· Previous experience with DSPs, social media, and digital advertising.

· Has connections in music production, artist management, publishing and creative networks in Canada and internationally.

· Has a thorough understanding of music copyright.

· Working in a hybrid office environment, ability to self-start is a must.

· Occasional overtime
